Quarantine
General Information Concessions Quarantine Prohibited Imports Alcohol Food Motor Vehicles
Each and every consignment arriving in our Bond Store will be inspected by an Officer of the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service.
The Quarantine Inspection Fee is A$150.00 plus GST per half hour and will be billed to the owner/importer. This is a government requirement and we have no control on total time of inspection.
Should any item contain active wood worm or insects or show any signs of insect infestation, fumigation in Australia will be required. Please note that if the items have been fumigated at the point of origin and you have been provided with a Fumigation Certificate, the Certificate may still not be recognized by the Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service. The Australian fumigation requirement is CH3Br 48gM3 24hr 21c or above.
As an indication, common high risk items in personal effects shipments are:

(artificial or dried) - any wood or cane ware
(especially antiques) - soft toys
(especially from SE Asia or Middle East) - curios and souvenirs
(especially from Africa and the Pacific Islands)
